The cricketer-turned-politician added Kohli’s selection will be officially announced soon, suggesting the star batter has convinced decision-makers of his value.
Questions were raised over Kohli’s T20 future after his prolonged absence, allowing talented youngsters to make Indore appearances. But his captain reportedly wants the stalwart in the World Cup squad.
Kohli has not played in the format since late 2021, missing the last edition in UAE. But he remains one of the greats and reportedly has captain Rohit batting for him to extend his T20I career.
