Rohit Sharma open to neutral-venue tests against Pakistan

Indian captain Rohit Sharma expressed his desire to visit Pakistan at a neutral venue for the test match, raising hopes and stirring the emotions of cricket lovers. The decades-old grudge match between the two competitors has been unidealized by power politics, so the absence of derby competitions between the 2008 Mumbai attack and now is the main event.

In a recent interview with the show ‘Club Prairie Fire’ on YouTube, the former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist and former England captain Michael Vaughan hosted the show. In this interview, Sharma stated that Pakistan has a formidable bowling contingent, and the match can go down to the wire depending on how Pakistani bowlers contribute to the game. Thus, the founder and the captain stressed the need for clear on-field play and the history of fierce contests like the ICC World Cup.

Nevertheless, the government’s decision to sanction bilateral cricket with Pakistan determines whether the BCCI would look for a tie-up. BCCI has been adhering to the Indian government’s rules and regulations regarding its cricketing engagement with Pakistan.

Pakistan has continued to make a strong move to commence normal bilateral cricket relations between its country and the Cricket Council of India (ICC) forth and back. The thing which will attract attention at the coming Champions trophy is that Pakistan has expressed its unwillingness to leave the initial point of host and give the role of the host to India for such a tournament.

Both the cricket fans and the players are quite excited to see what happens next regarding the 1982-1983 Test series, whether the situation allows further talks or one of the authorities takes further steps.
