Shreyas bhai approached me and asked ‘What’s your shoe size’? I replied 10, and then he said I’ve got something for you and handed me these spikes. It means a lot,” Jaskiran, one of the ICC net bowlers for the Champions Trophy, said to PTI Videos.

Jaskiran bowled to Pakistan and Bangladesh batsmen during their net practice. He was disillusioned when he was not selected for the India nets because there were already sufficient off-spinners available for Rohit Sharma’s team. However, disappointment was soon replaced with joy when Iyer, likely realizing that the spinner was hurt, went up to Jaskiran and presented him with a pair of his shoes.
