T20 world cup 2024: Pakistan Cricket board names India’s 2011 world cup winning coach

The Pakistan Board of Cricket (PCB) announced on April 28, 2020, that Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie have joined the Pakistan national team as head coaches for different formats. While Kirsten guided the Indian team to the 2011 World Cup trophy, she might take care of the Men in Green’s white-ball team, namely, whereas Gillespie is the one in charge of the Test team’s coaching. With Azhar Mahmood possessing leadership skills in the team’s recent T20I series against New Zealand (and now he’s the interim head coach in the league), he will now assist the coach in all formats. The PCB chief, Mohsin Khan, and everyone associated with the Pakistan Cricket Board are delighted after these appointments and look forward to the seasoned cricketers helping the national side grow quickly with their expertise.
