The 36-year-old giant has a humongous social base and is India’s most followed sportsperson. He has made a huge decision regarding his handle, clearing out all promotional/post ads on his own Instagram. Well, at least that is what the fans believe.
Most were left stunned and wondering about the decision and have gone on social media to share what they think about this choice. Kohli has also not said why he did this, making the true reason a big secret.
One user on social media even went on to question if Kohli has stopped doing brand promotions altogether. They said, “All the brand’s promotions are removed from Virat Kohli’s Instagram account. Has he left doing brand promotions?”
The catch regarding this is that he has moved all the promotional posts to the reels section, making his feed much more appealing to the eye. Stepping into the cricketing aspect of things, Kohli is presently engaged with the current Indian Premier League season, where he is playing for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a record 18th edition. To date, the team has made an impressive beginning to their season with three victories in the four games played.
Kohli has also made encouraging starts with the bat, having made 164 runs till now and making him the eighth-highest run-getter for the season. He was a leading light in their recent victory against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, where he scored 67 from 42 balls to lay the platform for a large total, which they went on to defend and win by 12 runs.
