Bihar School Examination Board Patna announces compartmental exam schedule for 2024

Bihar School Examination Board Patna has announced the schedule for the Matriculation and Intermediate Compartmental Examination 2024. According to the released datasheet, the matric compartmental exam will occur from May 4 to 11, while the Intermediate compartmental exam is scheduled from April 29 to May 11. Students will be divided into two shifts: the first shift from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and the second from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

As the deadline approaches, online applications for the compartment exams and scrutiny process will close today, April 7. The Board urges students who have not yet applied to submit their applications through the seniorsecondary.biharboardonline.com website, facilitated by their educational institution’s head. A scrutiny fee of Rs 120 per subject is required for the application process.

Eligibility for the compartmental examination is granted to students who have failed in a maximum of two subjects out of five, including two compulsory and three elective subjects. However, those who have failed in more than two subjects must repeat the academic year.

The examination schedule reveals that the first language exam will be conducted on May 4 in the first shift, followed by the second Indian language exam in the second shift. On May 9, the first shift will host the science exam, while the second will accommodate the social science exam. Mathematics will be assessed on May 10 in the first shift, and the second shift will be reserved for the English exam. Finally, on May 11, the first shift will administer the optional subjects exam, while the second will focus on vocational optional subjects.

For the Intermediate compartmental examination, the dates are set for April 29, 30, May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11, with all three streams undergoing examinations during this period. Practical examinations will occur on May 15 and 16, divided into two shifts. Students are advised to reach the exam centre 30 minutes before the scheduled start and will be provided an additional 15 minutes to read the question paper. Entry to the examination centres will be permitted until 9 am for the first shift and until 1:30 pm for the second shift.
