Dr Mudita Sharma: an inspiring journey from small town to civil service success

The tireless journey of Dr Mudita Sharma, who defied the odds and became one of the finest candidates in the UPSC Civil Service Exams, has conquered hearts. An embodiment of the village Merta in Rajasthan, her life is a convincing lesson for dreamers about how doggedness and hard work can make one’s dreams come true.

Given that my parents and grandparents got their education degrees, I was raised in an environment focused on great learning results. This was evident from the beginning of her scholarly life, as she secured one of the best ranks of Rajasthan board 10th Class Examinations, which signalled her success in the future.

At the primary school level, she took her certificate from the secondary school close to her. Then, she went to the Girls Secondary School in her locality for her O’ Level training. Dr Mudita Sharma continued her academic career at a government school for the higher part of Class 11 and 12, and her passion for medication brought her to the SN Medical College in Jodhpur, where she pursued an MBBS degree.

However, after beginning her work at the private hospital in Jaipur, a healthcare facility, and gaining practical experience, her childhood ambition to become a civil service officer lured her onto a different career path. She took a brave step, saying goodbye to her medical career and wholeheartedly devoted herself to preparing for the highly competitive UPSC civil services examination.

Dr Mudita Sharma’s steadfastness endured intensely difficult times when the world was fighting the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. She might be risking some of her hopes, yet she is still willing to volunteer as a junior doctor in Jaipur, India, where hospitals are full of COVID-19 patients. Nevertheless, her dedication to her dreams never wavered, and she rebuilt her plans by getting herself to participate in the top UPSC course in Delhi.

Through her personal experiences and challenges, she harmonizes the importance of building an effective study schedule that makes taking mock exams compulsory every day on the road to preparation. She believes that a well-sustainable schedule helps achieve goals and clarifies how far you are from the procedures.

With her story and achievement of becoming a civil serviceman in India, Dr Mudita Sharma’s journey from a small town is a great source of inspiration to everyone who wishes to follow the same path. Akin to the feeling that even when facing the toughest life challenges, one can achieve outstanding success if one’s persistence, focus and determination are unshaken by anything they learned from her story.

When her story goes on to either encourage or improve the listeners, Dr Mudita Sharma becomes an inspiration to many as she demonstrates the great heights people can reach merely because of having a strong dream and an unwavering determination & relentlessness.
