The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is getting ready to launch its maiden advanced residential flagship programme, the Advanced Flagship Program: Empowering Trusted Advisors – Unlocking the Potential of Family Enterprises (Residential). It will be held from January 7 to January 11, 2024, at the ICAI Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad, under the leadership of its director-cum-dean Nupur Pavan Bang.
ICAI proposes a pan-India network of 11 Centres of Excellence of which three have already been set up at Hyderabad, Jaipur and Kolkata. Three more centres would be opened after three years in Bengaluru, Sonipat (Haryana), Maharashtra, among other places.
There are only 50 participants under this program on first-come, first-served basis and shall definitely facilitate the chartered accountants serve the family businesses in an altogether improved manner. Candidates may apply through the ICAI portal at www.icai.org. A team of experts from ICAI shall assess eligibility for the course.
The program structure has a practical session with case studies, simulation, and group activity. Family business understanding, next generation/second-generation succession planning, establishing family governance, conflict management in a family business, growth strategies, fundraising, ownership structuring.
ICAI President CA Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal said that the program has been so designed to provide special skills to Chartered Accountants in order to enable them to address the challenges faced by family enterprises with a broader and deep insight.
The Registration Fee is Rs 50,000 plus 18% GST includes accommodation and meals at Hyderabad Centre of Excellence. Additional batches would be introduced based on the response received to this maiden batch.
Anticipating the future, ICAI has introduced CA-GPT-an AI-powered tool which would facilitate the students and members to access the treasure of ICAI’s resources comprising study materials, question banks, books, and information about companies.
Unlike other search engines, CA-GPT fetches answers only from internal resources of ICAI. For making people more AI literate, ICAI has conducted 200 five-day AI-related courses in 2024. The Institute is committed to making CAs job creators rather than job seekers.
