IIT Roorkee summer internship: Applications are now open

IIT Roorkee, India’s one of the highly prestigious educational institutes has initiated its student summer internship process. The program aims to facilitate access to a variety of students who are from diverse backgrounds, to gain more experience and increase knowledge in the field they are interested in.

To be eligible for IIT Roorkee 2024 summer internship, students must be engaged in BTech, BE, the Integrated MSc or MSc program and should have completed their first year as a university student. They should have the second still in progress and last in the future. Still, it’s worth noting that candidate that want to do the internship must register on the spark.iitr.ac.in web page that was created especially for the internship program.

Candidates are required to have undertaken two semesters of their undergraduate degree (B.Arch, B.E, B.Tech, M.Sc, M.A.) from any Indian institute belonging to a subject among those mentioned. Minimum CGPA requirements vary CGPA > 7.5 for IITs and IISc, > 8.0 for NITs, IIEST, and IISERs or NISER, and > 8.5 for other institute students.

During the registration process, participants should upload their last semester result, a photo, a 500-word research statement, and resume of up to 2 pages to the website. Room and board contract will be made available, and the monthly charge for it shall average of around Rs 5,500. Students that are offered this opportunity can use the uniquely located facilities and are expected to follow the conduct rules.

In the end, interns will be given a letter written by the SRIC dean, signed with her signature. The applicants have to reflect on their driving forces for the research and declare the direction of interest they are promising to take. Impressum will give in-between internship chosen ones a weekly stipend of Rs 2,500 which will be announced in May.
