Finally, in a late-night announcement, the NTA again declared the NEET (UG) 2024 retest online results of students who appeared in the exams on June 23. The retest was directed to 1563 students who were earlier given grace marks considering the problems they encountered in the May 5 examination.
Among the 1,563 students, 813 turned up to take the retest at the seven centers located in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, and Meghalaya. Nevertheless, no one among the retest takers achieved the perfect 720 marks, and consequently, the number of students who obtained the top mark decreased slightly, from 67 to 61.
The students who failed to sit for this retest will now see their raw score restored, and the grace marks that some of them were awarded before will be removed. This list includes six Haryana candidates who had obtained a centum score of 720.
In an official notification, the NTA stated, “It is now informed that revised Scorecards of all Candidates of NEET(UG) 2024 (including 1563 Candidates who appeared in the Re-Test on 23 June 2024) are being hosted on the website (https:://exams. nta. ac. in/NEET/). Candidates can log in and download/ print their corresponding revised scorecard.
NEET (UG) 2024 is the significant doorway that provides medical aspirant students an opportunity to get admission to prestigious medical and dental colleges in India. The retest and later variations in the scores perhaps approach this year’s highly competitive examination process as a new feature.
