As the CUET-UG 2024 answer key objection window closes shortly, many candidates have raised concerns about making mistakes in the given answer keys with the NTA.
One of them, Bishal, opened social media, shockingly that even 80% of the answer key for his GEOGRAPHY paper was incorrect. “When I use the serve number and enter a wrong key, I get 26 while I would get 122, where my seventeen questions are correct,” he said.
Other candidates have made corresponding objections, and Karishma expressed indefinite anger at the NTA: “The entire mass media answer key is wrong except the top few questions. What are you doing?”
The matter has also led to the interference of political parties, including congress party’s Ragini Nayak, who pin-pointed an anomaly in the Psychology paper where NTA has provided the answer key opposite to the answer to a question where the correct answer should be ‘audience’, not ‘crowd’.
In response, the NTA has clarified that the facts and challenges made by the candidates will be cross-checked with the help of a panel of subject specialists. If any challenge is found correct after verifying all the papers, the answer key will be adjusted, and new results will be computed.
The CUET-UG results are delayed, and in addition to the continuous debate over malpractices in competitive exams, the pedosphere will be paying attention to how NTA deals with the situation.
