Over 5 lakh aspirants are expected to appear for AP DSC 2024 teacher recruitment prelims

The stage is set for the important Andhra Pradesh District Selection Committee (AP DSC) 2024 recruitment examinations beginning in mid-March. Over 5 lakh aspirants are preparing to appear for Paper 1, scheduled between March 15 and 30 across various centers statewide.

Conducted by the School Education Department, these exams are the preliminary step for thousands of Grade 3 teacher vacancies in schools. Per the earlier schedule, the preliminary written test will have 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks.

Candidates will be evaluated based on their understanding of pedagogy, language proficiency, and general awareness. One must score at least 40% or 60 marks to qualify for the next phase.

The department has completed all preparations as per the coveted guidelines. Officials said adequate arrangements had been made for proper seating, CCTV surveillance, etc. Commissioner Ramakrishna said

“We aim to conduct exams smoothly and ensure the utmost transparency,”

Admit cards for the prelims went live on the AP DSC website today as scheduled. Candidates must download and retain their hall ticket and ID proof for the exam venue.

Those who clear Paper-1 will be invited to appear for the Computer Knowledge Test and Paper-2 in the months ahead. The final merit list and selection will then be decided, factoring in performance in all rounds.
