The Department of School Education in Tamil Nadu advises against holding extra classes over the summer.

Being withstood by the unbearable summer heat is not the reason behind students in Tamil Nadu to take one’s foot right off the gas pedal. The government of the state, on its part, has issued no doubtful clarification that during the vacation period, special classes and coaching shall not be admitted. It is with these dire words that the promise of oblivion and temporary freedom from academic stress for these youngsters living in their textbook land is born.

Kids can now imagine this sadness and fighting through their dreams of endless summer fun and their long-lasting fear of the extra classes. Vacation days, which represent a precious time slot for students, gain a sense of the most special, while children’s minds get a rest and are prepared, waiting for a new academic year.

So, parents and educators, it is now you who should respond! During their performances, let the youth enjoy the splendor and the gloriousness because they have pushed themselves to the limit for a whole year. Enable them to have fun, enjoy new deeds, and find the time to nurture their interests. This will become their most exciting time, like spots from a cloth that will be ingrained in their childhood forever.

The directive by the School Education Department calls for a recall of the simple fact that ‘learning is a lifetime journey’ and being successful in academia requires a balance of studies and recreation, in other words, being able to relax when appropriate. Having made yet another astute decision, Tamil Nadu once again has reconfirmed its commitment to the parenting of present and future generations, giving a chance to be children with carelessness, acting as explorers with imagination, and as they deserve, just pure joy.
