1 killed, 2 injured in Ajmer land dispute clashes; JCB set ablaze

Ajmer News: One man was killed and two others injured after alleged firing during a clash between two groups in the Rupangarh area of Ajmer district, Rajasthan on Sunday.

According to reports, a clash allegedly emerged over a dispute regarding the construction of a shop that erupted into a violent confrontation between the two factions.

Ajmer Rural Additional Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar confirmed that the brawl took place as both groups allegedly attacked each other with sticks and rods, reported news agency PTI.

The clash became fatal when one group opened fire, leaving a young man, Shakeel Langa, dead. “During the clash, some vehicles were vandalized, and a JCB machine was set on fire,” Kumar added.

Two persons were stated to have been injured. Narayan Kumawat has been identified and has been shifted to a hospital in Ajmer for treatment.

Inspector-general of Police (IG) Ajmer, Omprakash Meghwal, told news agency ANI, “There was a land dispute between two parties. In the fight between them, there was a firing in which one person died and two got injured.

Four vehicles were impounded in this incident. The situation is peaceful in the area. One person has been rounded up.”
