A ghastly incident emerged from Kadapa district, in which a 16-year-old girl was allegedly burnt to death by one J Vignesh, who reportedly had been in love with her earlier. According to police, the incident occurred on the outskirts of Badvel, where the accused, Vignesh, allegedly poured petrol on the girl and set her ablaze.
The attack occurred around 10 am on Saturday, following which the girl was taken to Kadapa RIMS hospital. Medical intervention notwithstanding, she breathed her last around 3 am Sunday morning, according to Mydukuru sub-divisional police officer Rajendra Prasad.
