Trying to lay the groundwork before unveiling the Union Budget 2024, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has stepped up its anti-BJP central government campaign, accusing the BJP-led center of hatching a deep-rooted conspiracy against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is in jail now.
On Tuesday, AAP MPs, including Sanjay Singh and Raghav Chadha, protested in the parliament complex while seeking Kejriwal’s release. Aam Aadmi Party leaders holding banners and raising anti- BJP government slogans accused it of using the central agencies incorrectly.
During the interaction with the media persons, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that Kejriwal’s BP was below 50 mg/dL 36 times after his arrest. ”You are playing with the life of Delhi’s elected CM… The case is not merely about his arrest; it is a well-planned plot to murder Arvind Kejriwal,” AAP claimed, politicizing the issue.
The AAP has time and again expressed its apprehensions about the wellbeing of Kejriwal and his medical condition in Tihar Jail; Atishi, the AAP leader, had claimed that the Chief minister’s blood sugar level had dropped to dangerously low levels of 50 mg/dl several times.
However, the LG office has refuted the AAP’s allegations, stating inconsistencies and irregularities with the medical reports of Kejriwal and levying allegations that Kejriwal may be deliberately avoiding the prescribed medical diet and medications.
The political rivalry between the AAP and the LG’s office has intensified, and the latter has pointed out Kejriwal’s glucometer test of low BG levels and different CGMS levels of BG at regular intervals, which clearly points to an effort to deceive the public by willful low-calorie intake in spite of being supplied home-made oral food.
Regarding the charges raised by the LG, the AAP has dismissed them, saying that the claims are false; for instance, Atishi has said that CM Kejriwal could go into a coma, and there is also the possibility of a brain stroke.
That the confrontation has continued intensifies the political rivalry between AAP and the BJP-led central government, with the former claiming that the latter was hatching a conspiracy to affect the health and life of Kejriwal.
