AAP alleges ‘Fake Case’ conspiracy against Kejriwal ahead of SC hearing

The Aam Aadmi Party or AAP, has been most recently coming up with very drastic allegations against the BJP-led Union government and the Central Bureau of Investigation or CBI. AAP says there is a plot to get a ‘fake case’ registered against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, days before a decisive Supreme Court hearing on his bail petition.

The court will likely consider Kejriwal’s request on June 26 concerning the Delhi High Court ruling that imposed a temporary pause on his release on bail in the money laundering trial. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said this could happen as the Centre sees the possibility of Kejriwal getting bail, the latter of which is currently in Tihar Jail in connection to the Delhi excise policy case.

“When there can be one hundred percent chance of Arvind Kejriwal getting bail from the Supreme Court, I have been told by my sources that the Centre is planning to lay a fake FIR through the CBI against Delhi CM and get him arrested by the CBI,” Singh said in a video posted by AAP on X (formerly Twitter).

The accusation was made on Wednesday morning after the Delhi High Court on Tuesday restrained Kejriwal from releasing in the excise policy issue by preventing a lower court’s decision which had granting him bail. The high court dismissed the lower court’s comment that it cannot consider the documents provided by the ED due to the vast quantity produced, stating that, it is quite unjustified.

The DC edited Kejriwal, who was arrested in March in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. On May 10, the Apex court allowed him to go on interim bail concerning the election campaigning and required him to report at the police station by June 2.

But on June 20, the trial court released him on regular bail and before the efficiency of this bail order, the High Court stayed it on June 21.

”The entire nation can see this and is with Arvind Kejriwal,” Sanjay Singh would say, to express AAAP’s bilateral affray against the alleged conspiracy.

The subsequent session of Supreme Court which is yet to decide on Kejriwal’s bail application, is thought to turn out to be a decisive moment in this thrilling political soap opera.
