AAP’s Chadha makes a return after eye surgery in the UK.
AAP MP Raghav Chadha on Saturday resurfaced in Delhi after undergoing a major eye operation in the UK last month. A video showed Chadha arriving at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal‘s residence, marking his first public appearance following vitrectomy surgery.
A close aide of Kejriwal, Chadha handles important party portfolios but has been absent amid the political challenges faced by the AAP, including the CM’s arrest.
The party earlier said Chadha would rejoin poll campaigning once fully recovered, with Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj stating his condition was serious, with a risk of blindness.
While physically away, Chadha remained active on social media platforms, supporting AAP and slamming rivals.
On Kejriwal getting interim bail on May 10 in the excise policy case, Chadha expressed joy, saying “every citizen’s eyes were moist” and hailing the SC’s protection of democracy.
Chadha’s return provides a boost to the AAP. The MP successfully overcame critical eye treatment overseas and now looks to contribute further to party activities.
