AAP pressure, personal photo threat alleged by MP Swati Maliwal

In a new development, a federal AAP member of parliament or MP named Swati Maliwal is leveling shocking accusations against her party. On Wednesday, Covering the Khatm-e Nishaan incident, Maliwal tweeted on X (which used to be Twitter) that she had received a phone call from a party’s senior leader.

As per Maliwal’s version, the party leader disclosed the existence of “immense pressure on everybody to speak ill about her.” In another shocking detail, the leader also threatened to publish personal photos to try to ‘snap her.’

Moreover, to back her statements, Maliwal said that every partisan received some directions – Some were told to address the media; others were told to call volunteers in America to get something ‘against’ her. She also provided shocking revelations of how “beat reporters close to the accused must fabricate some fake sting operations.

While the Aam Aadmi Party muddled through reasons for the shortlist, Maliwal, who had earlier worked as the chief of the Delhi Commission for Women, declared that the party had threatened to expel all those who continued to support her.

”The party may assemble an army of thousands, but I will fight it alone because the truth is with me,” she said without signs of anger. When asked if she was scared or angry with the accused, she defensibly said that he was a very powerful man.

The allegations have emerged after the vortex of the recent accusations in which Maliwal stated that she was “assaulted” by Arvind Kejriwal’s assistant, Bibhav Kumar, on May 13 in the Delhi CM’s residence. The case is still under investigation by the Delhi Police, and currently, Kumar is in custody arrest.

To which Maliwal has declared on this a fight for self-respect and announced that she will go on hunger strike if not given justice, NDTV reports she said that she feels sad that the woman minister of Delhi is smilingly maligning the character of an old female colleague of the party.

These events have only added complexity to the unfolding scandal inside the AAP, no less questioning the party’s tolerance of dissenting opinions.
