ACC donates portable X-Ray machine to TB hospital in Chhattisgarh

In a very important gesture for public health, ACC-the cement and building materials business of the Adani Group-has donated a portable X-ray machine to the District TB Hospital in rural Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. According to the Adani Foundation, this move is aimed at facilitating early detection of TB, a raging health problem in the area.

The Mini90 X-ray is designed to be lightweight and easily transported; because of this, it has been serving very well in the most remote and hilly areas. It helps doctors diagnose patients with speed due to the clarity of the imaging, which is critical in the diagnosis of pathologies relevant to the chest, spine, and head.

This will also result in faster treatments for patients from the countryside where such facilities are hardly found by increasing the facility’s screening abilities.

TB has become a major problem in Bilaspur, with the reported incidence running as high as 249 per 100,000. The use of this new X-ray machine will help detect even more cases of TB, keeping in mind that timely treatment is provided.

This, the Adani Group assures, has been the cornerstone of community welfare through the ACC and the Adani Foundation with multifarious initiatives on health, education, and livelihood activities at different locations.
