Adani Group announces major investments at Gwalior Industry conclave

The Regional Industry Conclave is presently being hosted in Gwalior, the third in the state of Madhya Pradesh in six months. Nine industry sectors have indicated a positive interest in the region when it comes to conducting business. The Adani Group has come up with some major projects that include a cement plant at Guna, a defense system plant at Shivpuri, and a women-operated jacket plant at Badarwas.

According to Karan Adani, the Managing Director of Adani Port and SEZ Limited, the group’s commitment for these projects totals ₹3,500 crore. “Today, it gives me pleasure to announce the establishment of a 2 million-tonne cement grinding unit located at Guna and a- wiping propelling unit in Shivpuri. We are going to generate more than 3,500 direct and indirect employment,” he added.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is not far away from becoming a model of economic growth. Adani Group has invested ₹18,250 crore in Gujarat, and because of this, employment has been provided to 12,000 people.

Its growth and development are evident by its emergence as a tourist destination, a preferred city for talent, and a major transportation facility. This has been complemented by the recent establishment of the new Adani Defence small arms manufacturing plant—Madhya Pradesh’s largest—which has established the state as a global small arms producing hub.

The Gwalior Chambal zone, with seven cross-roads connectivity and a population of more than 50 lakhs, has attracted many industries, further emphasizing the centre’s capability of being one of the country’s growth zones.
