Air India plane collides with tug truck at Pune airport

At Pune Airport, an Air India plane tailing to Delhi struck a tug truck while attempting to take off for the next location. The airplane, loaded with roughly eighty passengers, damaged the aircraft’s nose and one of the tires near the landing gear.

The statement vis-à-vis the airport official says that despite the collision, no one on board the aircraft, crew members and passengers included, suffered from injuries. During the onset of the incident, the evacuation plan was promptly implemented, and the passengers disembarked safely. However, her flight to Delhi was denied, so she looked for other flights in every possible place.

The Civil Aviation Directorate General (DGCA) has initiated an inquiry to determine the origin of the crash and the responsible parties. According to the initial statements in the report, the tug truck collided with an aircraft while it was being moved on the ground using the taxiing procedure.

In their statement, the airline mentioned that the plane that was supposed to operate the flight was grounded for maintenance, and the flight was canceled at the end. Passengers were reimbursed their full fares, and rescheduling of plans was also complimentary to them. Those going to international destinations from the same terminal were comfortably ferried by other airlines to Delhi airport.

The ICAO’s recourse will include normal operation procedures and shortcomings that can cause the event. The aircraft’s operation remained unaffected, and the airliner is now ready to operate after maintenance and repair services.
