Ahead of PM Narendra Modi’s birthday, the Dedicated Grand Langar Kitchens at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah will prepare and distribute 4000 kilograms of Langar food on Thursday, September 17th. Dargah officials said this was to maintain the sacred tradition that has been preserved for more than half a millennium, as this type of initiative has been performed for 550+ years.
By talking to Syed Afshan Chishty and Gaddi Nashin-Dargah Ajmer Sharif, we also found out that, indeed, the special biryani will be provided to the community, and it will consist of rice, pure ghee, and dry fruits. ”On the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday, seva programs would be conducted in religious places nationwide. Further, we will ensure that the Gurus and needy persons in our vicinity also get this Langar in our service,” he added.
It will start at 10:30 PM with the lighting of the world’s second-largest cooking pot, the Big Shahi Deg, inside the shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty. The cooking process will continue until late at night, while devotees and volunteers will also spend time in Taa’leem, Namaz, Naat, and Qawali to remember the saints.
There will be prayers for a long, healthy life, the success of Sewa Pakhwada, and the prosperity of Prime Minister Modi and the entire countrymen. All the food distribution processes will be done with zeal to allow attendees and other nearby people to benefit from the meal.
The distribution of the Langar will be much more systematic, and the volunteers will serve the Langar, and the service will go on till the morning. The Programme will be rounded off with special prayers of thanksgiving and for togetherness in the light of the Chishti Spirit of Sewa and self-less service for the welfare of the community as propagated by our Rivak昭灿秀明, burnt, Hadrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty. This celebration is not only in respect of the birthday of the Prime Minister but the event is also a spirit of the service which is present in the community.
