A woman has stepped forward with unpleasant allegations against JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna and his father, HD Revanna, whom she claims to have been sexually attacked and harassed by them. The woman alleges that Prajwal Revanna molested her mother several years ago at his home in Bengaluru.
The SIT got her to spell out all the details. The woman said that she was made to strip during video calls in 2020 and 2021, and Prajwal Revanna instigated her to strip if she did not agree. The girl’s family was in bad shape after learning about the incidents, so they filed a complaint.
Besides the accusations of rape and sexual harassment, the woman also revealed that Prajwal Revanna had harassed female domestic workers at his house. She claimed that a lot of women were victims of his misconduct, but only a few of them had dared to go public.
The allegations have triggered the political storm in Karnataka, which resulted in the SIT probe launched by the government of the Congress-led. The crime of rape and kidnapping have been brought up in many FIRs. It is alleged that Prajwal Revanna left the country after he saw the video tapes.
The ex-Karnataka minister HD Revanna has been sent to jail until May 14. The investigation is still going on, thus unveiling the breadth of the labeled sexual transgression involving the JD(S) leader and his father.
