Renowned American Singer Mary Millben Graces India’s 76th Republic Day Celebrations.
As India commemorates its 76th Republic Day, renowned African-American singer and actress Mary Millben has once again lent her voice to the festivities, joining the global virtual celebration by performing the Indian national anthem.
In a heartfelt message, Millben extended her greetings to Indian President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the Indian armed forces, as well as Indian communities worldwide, saying, “Let’s sing together!”
Millben’s association with India and its leadership is not new. In 2023, she performed the Indian national anthem at the prestigious Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C., and later sought the blessings of PM Modi by touching his feet, garnering significant media attention.
The singer, who is also a former White House Presidential Appointee under George W. Bush, has used her music as a tool to promote peace and friendship globally. She has previously performed at Diwali celebrations, further strengthening her ties with India.
