Amit Shah criticizes opposition, highlights Ram Temple issue in campaign rally

Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a campaign rally, targeting the Opposition and bringing attention to the controversial Ram temple issue. Shah urged the public to choose between those allegedly responsible for attacking karsevaks and those involved in the construction of the revered temple. The rally aimed to garner support for Rajveer Singh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Etah-Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh.

Shah expressed disappointment over the absence of Opposition leaders at the Ram temple consecration ceremony, suggesting that their absence implied their involvement in the attacks on karsevaks. He emphasized the existence of two distinct groups: those who fired shots at Ram bhakts and those who contributed to the construction of the Ram temple.

Shah criticized the Congress, Rahul Gandhi, and the Samajwadi Party for prolonging the Ram temple issue for over 70 years. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating the historic consecration ceremony on January 22 after being elected for a second term.

The Home Minister reassured the public that the BJP had no intention of removing reservations and pledged to protect them. He accused the Opposition of neglecting marginalized communities and highlighted Modi’s support for reservation policies.

Shah highlighted the BJP’s welfare schemes, promising to continue initiatives such as free rations and housing for the underprivileged until 2029 if the BJP remains in power. He also criticized the Samajwadi Party for allegedly promoting nepotism by fielding only family members as candidates.

Shah expressed confidence in the BJP’s electoral prospects and predicted success in over 100 seats during the initial phases of the polls, suggesting that the Congress and the Samajwadi Party would struggle to secure any seats.
