Much to everybody’s surprise, another TDP leader and MLA, K Raghurama Krishna Raju, has lodged a police complaint accusing former chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and two IPS officers of an attempt to murder conspiracy.
In the complaint, Raju stated that Reddy, S. PV Sunil Kumar, and PS R Sitaramanjaneyulu, IPS officers; R Vijay Paul, a retired police officer; and G Prabhavathy, a former superintendent of Guntur Government General Hospital, were part of a criminal conspiracy against him.
Raju claims to have been taken through “custodial torture,” of which the CB-CID of the Andhra Pradesh government arrested and booked him for a “false case” in May 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic. He said he was detained unlawfully, assaulted, and not allowed his medication, although he had undergone an operation on the heart two months back.
The MLA also accuses Prabhavathi, the then superintendent of the Guntur Government General Hospital, and IPS Kumar of forging the medical records that suggested Raju was not injured.
Raju said that he was later transferred to the Secunderabad Army Hospital by the Supreme Court order and bailed out later.
This has been filed under the Indian Penal Code, and the incidents complained about occurred approximately three years ago. The attempt to murder plot is being investigated, while there is no response from the authorities concerning the statements of the TDP MLA.
