Another political clash emerges from Andhra Pradesh; the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the YSRCP, have fallen foul over the recent tearing down of an YSRCP under-construction building in Tadepalli.
YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has criticized the act, terming Chandrababu Naidu as ‘A Dictator’ and saying that the latter is taking vendetta politics to the next level. Such recent charges include accusing the party of demolishing a structure contrary to a High Court decision.
But, the TDP has justified the step asserting that it acted according to the laws and rules in the state and had demolished the “illegal construction” which was constructed here. TDP leader Pattabhi Ram Kommareddy accused the Congress party of using these tactics and said the same was never adopted by his party or chief Naidu.
The Vizag Steel Plant ‘furniture theft’ controversy comes in the backdrop of the existing animosity between the two parties owing to the YSRCP accusing Reddy of constructing a ₹ 500 crore ‘hilltop palace ‘ in Visakhapatnam which the TDP party has rubbished.
Another person and a former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Reddy, has alleged that the incumbent TDP government headed by Naidu has no respect for “law and justice” in the state. He has assured that YSRCP will not be bow by such approaches of “vendetta politics.”
This war of words indicates the current political freeganism within Andhra Pradesh with polls in 2024. The political processes seem to be escalating in provoke and counter-provocation mode for forming a harsh political confrontation in the future.
