Ayush Tayal has been identified as the driver of the car who had escaped from the accident scene but is detained, and a case has been registered.
According to police, a food delivery agent was killed and three others injured after an Audi car rammed two bikes in a matter of minutes in Maharashtra’s Pune late Thursday night, reports India Today.
The accident occurred between 1:30 am and 1:35 am at Tada Gutta Chowk, wherein the Audi initially rammed three persons riding a scooter. The riders sustained slight injuries as they fell off the scooter.
Soon after, the luxury car rammed yet another bike. Rauf Akbar Sheik, a delivery agent of Swingy, was severely hurt.
Sheikh was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The police later apprehended the accused driver, Ayush Pradeep Tayal. He is 34 years old and lives in Hadapsar.
Tayal was nabbed after his picture was seen from CCTV footage in the area. The police also seized the Audi that was involved in the twin accidents.
