A strange incident involving a bald man offering his “hair regrowth treatment” for merely ₹20 ($0.23) in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, is going around, causing heavy congestion and, eventually, cops intervening in the matter.
It has been reported that Anees Mandola, a Delhi-based trader, had claimed his special potion would bring back hair on bald heads and was also selling a hair oil for ₹300, approximately $3.53. His advertisement in a local newspaper attracted a large crowd, predominantly composed of individuals seeking solutions for hair loss.
The crowd was piling up, and the whole main road was blocked because of this, causing huge traffic congestion in which even an ambulance was stuck. The police were called to clear the road and get the normal flow of traffic back.
A video of the chaos surfaced, which went viral on social media. Reactions were divided. While some users found humor in the situation, others said it raised questions about the effectiveness of the treatment.
The local administration was not notified about the gathering, and the event, which was organised at a banquet hall on Lisari Road, did not have the necessary permissions. The people attending the gathering were given tokens to handle the queue and were asked to get their heads shaved before getting the treatment.
