Batenge to Katenge’: Yogi Adityanath’s cryptic message amid Bangladesh unrest

This comes in the wake of confirmation of programs ‘targeting Hindus in Bangladesh, a country that fell into political crisis after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina.

This is in reference to the session that the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, on Monday called for unity, stating that there is unrest in Bangladesh.

“Nothing can be above the nation. And the nation will be empowered only when we are united. ‘Batenge to Katenge’. Now in Bangladesh, what you are seeing here—those blunders should not happen here, from Batenge to Katenge. Ek Rahenge to Nek Rahenge,” the chief minister said this in a public meeting at Agra.

This comes a day after Adityanath criticized the opposition for not’speaking’ about the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh.

While the opposition was so vocal and active in support on issues like Palestine, they have not uttered a single word protesting the oppression of Hindus and the destruction of temples in Bangladesh. They see Palestine but fail to see Bangladesh because they don’t want to lose their vote bank here. He stated this while campaigning in Mathura.

This UP chief minister made a statement in this regard that came in the backdrop of reports of unrest in the Bangla-speaking country, which entered political turmoil on August 5 after its Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country.
