Bengaluru CEO responds defiantly to backlash over ‘Brahmin genes’ post

Anuradha Tiwari, who is the founder and CEO of a content marketing company, recently appeared in a controversy when she posted a picture of herself saying “Brahmin genes.”

As the criticism and the support grew, she posted some more on X and said that today’s Brahmin are scared of uttering their full name and have been painted as ‘villains’ by the activists and politicians.

Tiwari, who has been active particularly on X with the hashtag ‘One Family, One Reservation,’ has been an advocate against caste-based reservations in the past. Referring herself as an ‘unapologetic Brahmin’, she dragged this into her identity, stating that her community does not get any reservations or ‘chhutti’.

As many accused her of being ‘casteist’ in dealing with Pawan Bansal, she leverte argues countered the criticism by turning the accusation on the heads of those who criticized her. In another of her posts, she wrote the term Brahmin has provoked ‘triggering beings’ and this has uncovered the’real casteists’.

“As expected, just a word ‘Brahmin’ annoyed many inferior beings. Tells a lot about who the real casteists are. UCs get nothing from the system—no reservation, no freebies.

We earn for our living and have every right to be proud of our lineage. So, deal with it,” she wrote on X about the row over her viral post that has more than 50 lakh views until Sunday (August 25).

In one of her latest posts on X, Tiwari said: Characteristic of most Brahmans of today, he was shy of uttering his full name. So much hatred has been said about us. We have been portrayed as evil-doers by social justice warriors and politicians. We don’t harm anyone.

As much as we are struggling to survive, we receive no assistance from the government. We work hard. For what deserved shame for being of low caste?
