This is a severe threat. @DgpKarnataka @CMofKarnataka @DKShivakumar. He is threatening to throw acid on my wife’s face because she is dressed according to her choice.
Take appropriate action against him so that any such incident does not occur. pic.twitter.com/N6fxS59Kqm— Shahbaz Ansar (@ShahbazAnsar_) October 9, 2024
Nikith Shetty, an ex-Etios Services employee, allegedly sent the woman the disturbing message threatening to throw acid upon her face for dressing inappropriately in Karnataka.
After the message appeared online, social media users traced Shetty to his workplace. The company he worked for claimed that they relieved him of his duties and registered a case against him for threatening a woman.
We are shocked to have to address this grave incident involving one of our employees, Nikita Shetty, who made a threatening statement about another person’s choice of apparel.
This conduct is against the core values we at Etios Services believe in, the company said.
The company took fast action as a firm that believes in a safe and respectful environment.
Nikith has been terminated for five years, and the company added that a case was brought against him for accountability for his actions.
After the action taken against the accused, people praised the company for taking action against the man who threatened the woman about her attire. He expressed gratitude to the media on his social networking site for their support.
