Bengaluru woman accuses ex-employer of sexual exploitation and blackmail

There is a grave case of Bengaluru, wherein a female has accused her former employer, Srinivas M., of sexual exploitation, online bullying, and blackmail. A case against him has been filed for extortion and criminal intimidation.

The lady, who had come to Bengaluru in 2019 after her husband and she broke up, joined as a receptionist in Srinivas’ digital service center. According to her complaint, there was a close friendship that developed over time, where Srinivas allegedly promised to marry her.

With mutual consent from both families, the couple moved into a rented house in Kadugodi. The woman narrates that during this period Srinivas sexually exploited her under the pretext of marriage and clandestinely recorded naked videos of the both of them.

These recordings were then allegedly used to blackmail her for money. The woman said that she was compelled to give him gold ornaments and ₹1 lakh fearing harassment against her.

Despite reporting a first complaint, there was harassment. The defendant is said to have created a fake social media profile under his name and abused his email address and mobile number registration. Additionally, he allegedly threatened a close relative, stating that he would share their sexual videos on social media unless more money was sent.

Srinivas also reportedly visited the woman’s family house, where he threatened her and forced her to file a second complaint. The case remains under investigation.
