Bhogle slams IndiGo over alleged mistreatment of elderly couple

Several vents of frustration from the wearing of the face of Indian civilization. A recent unpleasant incident that left an elderly couple uncomfortable on an IndiGo flight angered renowned cricket analyst Harsha Bhogle, who bitterly tweeted his disappointment.

As per Bhogle, the couple had booked seats in the front row of the airplane but were moved to seat 19 in row 19 without any reason. The commentator pointed out that the elderly man was in a lot of discomfort as he moved to the back of the plane along the aisle.

“The gentleman was going to struggle to walk to row 19 in a narrow passage. But who cares? A few people had to make a noise and point out the immorality, and only then, thanks to the pleasant cabin crew, the original seats were restored. But, and this is the point, they had to make a noise; otherwise, IndiGo was going to get them to walk till 19 and check after boarding was complete if they could.

The cricket expert went on to regret that the airline seems to pay no attention to the comfort of elderly people. He said that the lady had whispered such concerns as this being a regular thing’ and how terrible it was ‘for individuals of their age to commute ‘ with IndiGo.

Bhogle, who has been a champion of success in Indian ventures, was not happy with IndiGo’s reaction. He told the airline to be more careful about how it addresses its clients and not to industrialize this indifferent approach.

In the same regard, IndiGo admitted to the occurrence and apologized to the companies and the customers. The airline said that their crew immediately managed to escort the couple back to their originally assigned seats. IndiGo also came up with a statement on the same issue and personally wrote to the customers to sort the issue.

It has sparked a broader debate about customer service in the aviation sector in India, and several users of social media platforms have echoed Bhogle’s view. Some voices have called for the introduction of new competition into the market, which may likely bring positive changes to the industry and enhance passenger experience.
