Bihar man walks into hospital with snake bite, snake still in hand

A man in Bhagalpur, Bihar, was attacked by a Russell viper, among the world’s deadliest snakes. Instead of panicking or tracking his symptoms, the man picked the snake by its mouth and walked to the hospital.

The hospital visit in video form has gone viral as people view him walking into the hospital with the reptile wrapped around his neck.

The now-viral video opens with Prakash Mandal standing in the hospital’s emergency ward among other patients and their attendants, all visibly frightened.

Holding the snake by its mouth, the reptile has wrapped itself around his neck. He holds the snake with the hand where the snake bit him, and a cloth is tightly wrapped across his arm to restrict the flow of blood.

As the film continues, another man takes hold of Prakash’s left arm and takes him elsewhere so as not to cause harm to others on the same hospital premises.

Within a few minutes, the man removes the snake from his neck and falls onto the floor.

In another video that has gone viral on the internet, Mandal is seen lying on a stretcher with the snake still in his hand.

After one of the doctors advised him to let go of the snake properly for treatment, he finally did. The man’s health status remains unclear at the moment, but NDTV reported that he is getting appropriate treatment.
