A 35-year-old man from Nevada Bihar, proved that there is truth in the saying; when a man is down, you bet he is down, as he bit the head of a snake that had attacked him, killing the Reptile. The protagonist of this rather untypical story is Santosh Lohar, a man who died from a snake bite while resting at his base camp after a hard day’s work, participating in railway construction.
Lohar, who could not fully rely on this superstition, decided to take some risk and bite the serpent back to neutralize the venom that would have killed her; he bit the serpent twice. This unconventional response was lethal to the snake, but the transaction also put Lohar in the hospital.
Lohar’s workmates quickly took him to the Rajauli subdivision hospital, where he received the necessary attention. Luckily, though, Lohar regained his health quickly and was discharged the following day.
This is a similar event that occurred following another incredible story that was reported in the Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, where a man was bitten by a snake five times within two months. He survived all the times, dropping the doctor’s jaw.
The WHO still acknowledges the fact that snake bite victims should rush to be attended to by a medical professional since doing this can help prevent further complications and the likelihood of the victim developing further complications that would lead to disability or death.
These cases are strong lessons on how proper medical standards should be observed and how one should seek the help of professionals in the event of such occurrences.
