BJP Alleges cover-Up in Kolkata Doctor’s Rape-Murder case

Kolkata witnessed a huge outrage when a postgraduate trainee doctor was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College.

With a youth trainee doctor gangraped and killed in a city medical college, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders flayed West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday.

The BJP’s IT cell head, Amit Malviya, helping Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi win the 2019 Indian general election, immediately blamed the TMC government for trying to hush up the crime and demanding a CBI inquiry.

The state is now in overdrive to shield the atrocities wherein a young resident doctor was raped and murdered in RG Kar MCH during Mamata Banerjee’s rule.

Apparently, Kolkata Police has nabbed a ‘civic volunteer’ when, as per the media reports, the postmortem report revealed that the deceased had 11 grievous injuries and her eyes were bleeding. They say even the post-mortem experts have said that she was likely to have been raped for a long time before being killed,” a BJP leader accused.

He accused the police of contradiction in their statement and the evidence they produced in court.

Reporting from the local media sources, two semen samples were said to have been collected from the scene, stated the police, but later withdrew the  statement.

As can clearly be seen from the following, the incompetence is real and stemmed from the fact that there was an endeavor made to conceal facts,” said Malviya.
