With more than a year before the Lok Sabha elections, Delhi is the State of Andhra Pradesh’s main centre of BJP aspirants for the Vizianagaram Parliamentary constituency. It had been conveyed that TDP was in talks with BJP over nominating the Vizianagaram seat. Apart from this, most senior party leaders, P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Kala Venkata Rao are at their ripe age and have shown less enthusiasm.
The IABJP state committee has shortlisted some candidates: BJP Rajya Sabha MP G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, BJP State general secretary Sagi Viswanatha Raju, Previous MLC P.V.N. Madhav, BJP Vizianagaram district president Nadukuditi Eswara Rao, and BJP former State treas. They are all seeking passes.
In that area, G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, in a bid to get the Vizianagaram seat, is wondering since the confirmation for the Visakhapatnam seat is pending. Sagi Viswanatha Raju is preparing to present his candidature with 26 years of party membership behind us and earlier duties as MP for Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts. But his speeches are more convincing because he has been the MLC of North East Andhra and Vizianagaram for about a long period.
Following the BJP Vizianagaram District president L. Eswara Rao’s recommendation, the party can assign him either the Vizianagaram MP seat or the Etcherla constituency. Pakalapati Sanyasi Raju, the candidate who ran on the BJP platform, might have the If RSS or any of these organizations are working behind him, what we need to fight is their ideology more than the person.
Yendalla Srinubabu, representing the Baranjil Kapu community, came to the party and requested that D. Purandeswari, the chairperson of the BJP State, allocate the seat. He also pointed out that the parties chose leaders elsewhere for the remaining five MP seats. At the same time, YSRCP held the party card for speaking on behalf of Turpu Kapu of Viziananagaram.
The credentials of the aspirants will be placed before the party’s Parliamentary Board, and it is expected that Purandeswari will make the final call in the coming days. People are waiting with their fingers crossed, hoping the final result will meet their expectations in the upcoming elections.
