BJP MP Varun Gandhi’s emotional letter to pilibhit constituents

Following the BJP’s decision not to give him a ticket, Varun Gandhi, a grand proponent of the BJP and a representative of Pilibhit, has written the following touching letter. The moving letter echoes his profound bond with this district. He recalls the cherishable memories from the days he grew up here and addresses how the people of Pilibhit deeply affected his life journey.

Helping us to recollect the past, the letter continues by transporting us back to 1983 when the author was only 3 years old and was holding on to his mother’s hand while stepping into Pierce first time. Lesser than he thought, becoming that piece of land would not just be his workplace, but that land also would be an important part of him. With immense pride and gratitude, he feels honoured to have had the chance to serve the people of Humayun Nagar for years now. During his service, he learnt essential life virtues of simplicity, kindness, and values from his constituents.

The denial of the ticket to him indicates that his tenure of being MP is a thing of the past, but his love for Pilibhit is not withering away. He concludes that his union with the region will be homogeneously present until he last breaths. He doesn’t give up on his commitment, though, but through the power of his words, he reaffirms that he will continue to work for the people, even as a non-MP. Gandhi speaks out like he will make sure the people he loves will get the care they need no matter what.

While Gandhi’s non-participation in the electoral contest pursued by his mother, Maneka Gandhi, in the Pilibhit constituency after three decades might seem to be a kind of shock, his letter constructs that the bond he shares with the people of Pilibhit remains higher than their belonging to any political group. It is a relationship that does not fall under politics that is more in love, trust-based learning from each other, and having the same values.

Finally, he declares that he is praying for you to render him further able and worthy in his fight against the oppressors. Dedication, as usual, resides above ground politics. So, he’s committed to serving the community even after leaving the Council. The door to him is always open and accessible.

Through his emotional letter, Varun Gandhi’s relationship history with his constituents in Pilibhit shows his multigenerational involvement. With the Lok Sabha elections right around the corner, the speaker utters a declaration proving that one man’s initiative can affect the lives of so many and outgrow the boundaries of politics to create ties that remain even the greatest challenges.
