Turning the exit poll prediction on its head, the BJP is now leading in 49 of Haryana’s 90 seats. In Jammu and Kashmir, electing its government after a decade, the National Conference and Congress alliance is ahead in 52 of the 90 seats.
New Delhi: The BJP is set to enter a third successive term in Haryana and is doing well in Jammu.
Kashmir has voted overwhelmingly for the National Conference, leaving the Congress with another lackluster performance in this round of assembly polls.
In an extraordinary turn of exit poll prediction on its head, the BJP is now leading in 49 of Haryana’s 90 seats. Congress trails at 34 but says don’t count it out-it can still win.
Unfortunately, the much-expected marked change in Haryana was unable to register even a single win in the hands of the Aam Aadmi Party under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal after his party won in neighboring Delhi and Punjab. The party, however, managed some wins in the general seats by bagging Doda.
