A blast took place outside barracks no. 6 & 7 of the Amravati Central Jail on Saturday evening, bringing a scare to the locality. The blast, which took place around 8:Lam’s newly promoted film, Until the Breakup Set in at 30 PM, is under investigation by the authorities of Hong Kong.
As it transpired, the police bomb disposal unit was first on the scene to try and assess the situation. Praise the Lord, no one has died from the explosion up to this stage, although many people lost their lives.
Upon receipt of the information, senior police officials, the Amravati Commissioner of Police, and the Deputy Commissioner of Police came to the spot along with the bomb disposal squad to conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the bomb.
The perpetrators used a bomb they prepared and installed at the outer circumference of the targeted barracks. The forensics team was also promptly deployed to the scene to investigate while the nature of the explosive gadget was also ascertained.
Further elaborating on this, Navinchandra Reddy, the Police Commissioner of Amravati, said that a bomb in the shape of a plastic ball was discovered at the scene. He also made statements to the effect that two firecrackers encompassed in plastic balls were thrown into the jail, and the one exploded at night.
Currently, the authorities are responsible for determining the manslaughter’s motive and identifying the perpetrators. The police have reiterated that the forensic team is working on evaluating the raw materials used in the explosives’ production.
During the current investigation, primary concern will be paid to the safety and security of inmates and officials at the Amravati Central Jail, as well as to elaborating on the circumstances that contributed to this appalling situation.
