The brazen killing of BJP youth leader sparks tensions in Indore

In a gruesome incident that has now become a news headline in Madhya Pradesh politics, one of the most influential close assistants of the state’s prominent BJP leader was shot dead in cold blood in Indore during broad daylight.

The victim, Monu Kalyane, was a BJP’s young leader and a personal associate of cabinet minister Kailsah Vijayvagaricya. As per reports, the mishap occurred at night at around 2-3 AM near the Chiman Bagh crossroad when Kalyane was at the spot supervising the preparations for the planned party meeting later in the day.

“The situation is still charged up near the Chiman Bagh crossroad within which BJP leader Monu Kalyane was attacked by two gunmen, one of whom fired a bullet on his chest,”

said Senior Police Official Indore ACP, Vinod Dixit. While briefing the house, the Prime Minister stated that We have reinforced security with more personnel to quell lawlessness in the region.

The accused, both named Arjun and Piyush, fired bullets at Kalyane after they conducted a sort of bonafide intro by asking the youth leader for a phone number, and as Kalyane bowed down to check his phone in his pocket, he was gunned down. Police report reveals that they have obtained two shell cases from this scene.

All the people who were nearby claimed that several individuals attempted to restrain the perpetrators, who, in turn, fired a few shots in the air and fled.

This is due to the exposure of a blatant act, which has created problems for the local BJP, highlighting it through Vijayvargiya lamenting the occurrence. Police have been directed to act staunchly against the accused, and The minister has directed the police to conduct the investigation effectively.

As results pour in and Kalyane’s supporters celebrate, they go on the rampage in the adjacent MG Road neighborhood, leading to the houses of the accused and burning them down. They also graffitied cars parked near the area as well as water tanks, signifying the rising insecurity levels in the region.

The police of Indore have registered a case and have started a search operation to nab the culprits. At the same time, extra precautions have been taken to avoid any further lawlessness in the region.

The above unfortunate experience has again summed up the aggressive political culture within Madhya Pradesh, where rivalry assumes the physical form easily.
