Brutal murder of journalist Mukesh Chandrakar in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh journalist Mukesh Chandrakar reported missing for two days, has been found in a septic tank in the Bijapur district on January 3. A post-mortem examination has stated that Mukesh was tortured violently before being murdered. He received 15 head fractures, the heart was yanked out from his chest cavity, and four pieces of livers were found at the crime site.

Mukesh Chandrakar, who is a Chhattisgarh-based 28-year-old journalist, was found dead in the Bijapur district on 3 January.

Missing for two days, his dead body was retrieved from a septic tank within a property located in Chattanpara Basti owned by one Suresh Chandrakar. Days since the incident passed, and today, the police arrested Suresh, whom they suspect of the crime, from Hyderabad.

After undergoing an autopsy, it was evident that Mukesh had been tortured before killing. Suresh is related to Mukesh and ran from Chhattisgarh to avoid public scrutiny after the reports of his occurrence surfaced and sent shockwaves down the society.

The post-mortem examination of Mukesh’s body found evidence of some brutal killing through 15 fracture points on the head, one broken neck, with the heart being thrown out. It also showed that his liver had been split into four pieces, while five ribs and neck bones were broken.
