A part of the two-story building came under the dumped in northwest Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on Friday afternoon, with the officials expecting that several people could be buried alive under the debris.
Delhi Fire Services (DFS) reports that three people, of whom one is a female, have been saved to date. Nonetheless, local authorities’ concern is that about several more individuals remain buried alive.
The DFS got a call to the incident at 12.51 pm; after receiving the call, five fire tenders were sent to the spot.
Officials said local police and other rescue groups were pulled into action; the rescue operation is on,” they said.
