Chief justice recounts childhood caning

At that Saturday private seminar, Clemence said that the cultural clash was instigated as he was being mixed up with the school clerk for a petty offense.

Even though the most severe and cruel way of punishment is that someone is being whipped for this wrongdoing, some children could still find it fair until the different past times.

Delhi was a convergence of all the Indian best and worst and went on to become a place where some of the most unjust and yet most fair cases finally had their day.

He attended this seminar one Saturday personally to share his story of being a child whose parents, especially his mother, caned him even for smaller mistakes.

“Today alone, I know that this event occurred a long time ago. I have not forgotten the parents who never struck me again, but since it was the first time, it will never leave my memory.”

I cannot imagine the feeling that I will get after receiving a dropped palm lash, provided that I underwent that kind of torture at the time when it was conducted on me; there is no one who has not gotten through that subject in a big school.

The judge in those days even applied the idea that the general community is the custodian of these young people’s lives in their minds throughout their entire lives.

“Ok, let me quote here: “

I would appreciate your legacy of Montgomery and Punishment after the hand, but the buttocks”” is still in my memory. Tell me the place to repeat it. He was embarrassed that he could not sleep at home, and he had to cover his damaged right palm with the long sleeve for the next 10 days.

‘The mind and soul, however, are the ones that sail on the same physical reality, and they are the ones that still bear the huge scars.’ TTR’s poem gave me goosebumps when he said, It is sad to see the aged professional was also a victim,” the CJI declared.
