Concerns raised over US campus safety ahead of EducationUSA fair

An education fair entitled EducationUSA from the United States Department of State was meant to disseminate information about pursuing tertiary education at accredited institutions in the United States of America.

This month, the fair will take place in different parts of India, giving Indian students and parents a unique opportunity to meet with representatives of more than eighty American universities, most of which are still unfamiliar to local learners.

However, Chandrasekhar’s concerns point to the fact that pertinent information as to the safety of campus needs to be divulged in light of the increasing cases of violence and targeted harassment that have been reported in some of the college campuses in the United States of America.

However, the safety concerns that seem recurrent in this piece would require the organizers of the EducationUSA fair to assuage these fears to encourage more Indian students and parents to view the option of pursuing higher education in the US as a safe one worth pursuing.
