Congress confident of victory, Ramesh asserts PM will Be from winning alliance

As the country’s people prepare for the parliament election, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh has recently expressed confidence in his party’s victory.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Ramesh categorically said that the candidate from the victorious alliance will definitely become India’s next Prime Minister.

Ramesh’s comments were in reply to a question about Rahul Gandhi being a prospective contender for the post of Prime Minister. He stated, “It is not an embarrassment scenario between two or more persons,” and further explained the part-based structure of Indian democracy.

“The question, therefore, arises in terms of whose mandate it is; Parties get the majority, and it is the party that selects the leader to be the PM”

Using analogies from the past, Ramesh remembered how Manmohan Singh was declared the Prime Minister within minutes of the Congress party’s victory. ‘This time, it will not even take four days,’ he agreed. The name of the PM will be announced within 48 hours.’

However, Ramesh does not agree with several Congress leaders who frankly said about Rahul Gandhi as the INDIA bloc’s prime ministerial contender. The Indian state election leader and campaign chief of the alliance, Priyanka Gandhi, has consistently pointed out the capabilities of Gandhi for the post through his leadership qualities.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Revanth Reddy also praised the nomination. Reddy declared that Rahul Gandhi would be the next Prime Minister of India, citing Narendra Modi’s Nyay Yatra as evidence for Gandhi’s proposition.

Rahul Gandhi is currently contesting the Lok Sabha elections from two constituencies. The markets selected for this study are Wayanad and Raebareli. While the nation waits for the result, the argument about who is sought as the PM, candidate, gains further attention.
