Congress denies links to ‘kingpin’ in Rs 5k cr Delhi drug bust

According to police sources, Tushar Goyal, allegedly the mastermind of the operation, was the chairman of the Delhi Pradesh Congress’s RTI cell.

The Congress has denied any links with Tushar Goyal, the alleged kingpin behind Delhi’s biggest drug bust.

The mastermind, Tushar Goyal, was arrested after the recovery of over 500 kg of cocaine and 40 kilograms of hydroponic marijuana worth more than Rs 5,600 crore in a raid conducted in south Delhi on Wednesday.

The Youth Congress took a dig at the BJP and posted on X: “Stop misleading the country based on lies and deception.

The post from Youth Congress on X said, “Stop misleading the country based on lies and deception because this is a crime under the law, and @IYCLegalCell will soon give a legal answer to it.”

The Youth Congress’s denial came a day after the BJP alleged a link between Goyal and the grand old party.

“Drugs worth Rs 5,600 crore recovered from Delhi. The main accused in this case is Tushar Goyal, the chief of the RTI cell of the Indian Youth Congress.

This means it is getting clear that till now, only goods of hatred were visible in Rahul Gandhi’s shop of love, but now drugs are also being found. What is the connection of Cong with the drugs recovered and the accused? – Dr. @SudhanshuTrived”, the BJP had posted on X.
