Congress leaders meet to review Haryana loss

Participants at the Congress meeting reviewing its loss in Haryana have hinted at what’s to come.

Party MP Rahul Gandhi attended the party meeting called by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, MLA Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and party observers like Ashok Gehlot, Ajay Maken, and Pratap Singh Bajwa.

However, two names that should have been there and who are also stakeholders—Randeep Singh Gujranwala and Kumari Selja—were not invited. A source said the meeting’s agenda caused Haryana’s loss.

Sources said they were asked to present what happened, and the reason for the defeat in re-contesting was the infighting. They were also told about the EVMs in the meeting.

The leaders also discussed the rebel’s damage and the Aam Aadmi Party’s failure to ally.

According to sources, all points of discussion from Haryana’s review meeting will be considered when determining the next steps for the forthcoming Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly polls.

Seat-sharing talks will also be discussed during this meeting since the Congress’ top leadership has been perturbed by allies’ statements warning the party against arrogance.
